Dallas Stars April Fools

Earlier today this post appeared on sportslogos.net showing the Dallas Stars new home sweater...or so it would seem.  Sitting in my college algebra class staring at this on my tiny Virgin Mobile phone got me all sorts of excited, to the point we even retweeted @sportslogosnet original post.

At first I was disgusted, the Stars have such a great opportunity to truly set themselves apart from the rest of the NHL with their new sweaters and this is what they came up with?  It looks as if the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Redwings and Tampa Bay Lightning had an awful three way and this is the result of one drunken night in Vegas.

Then it hit me...it's April 1st...April Fools day.  Quickly I refreshed the page and sure enough, at 12:25 PM an update was posted.

UPDATE (Apr 1/13 12:25pm ET): Happy April Fool’s Day, everyone!

 The scary thing is everything about the template looks like something legit.  It's scary good and one has to congratulate @sportslogosnet on creating such a great forgery.

As for the Dallas sweaters, one can only hope they aren't as terrible as these (no offense!).
